Description
Leidos is seeking a motivatedintern to support research in the area of energy-efficient circuit design. This position is available as remote work or onsite. Onsite locations are San Diego, CA, and Arlington, VA.
This candidate will work on projects related to ASIC design for energy-efficient ground sensing platforms. Areas of research interest include energy harvesting, sensor front-end designs, AI/ML edge applications, and low-power RF. The ideal candidate has experience with ASIC design, validation, tape-out, and test for analog and/or digital designs. The candidate will work in concert with a team of research scientists, data scientists, and engineers supports both research and development projects. The candidate must be intellectually adaptive, inquisitive, communicative, a self-starter and problem-solver, and self-managed when necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with Leidos engineers to define tasks and integration specifics.
Independently operate to design a chip.
Independently test and report validated findings for the chip.
Develop technical content and present progress, challenges, and plans as part of team meetings, design reviews, and other technical exchange meetings.
Basic Qualifications
Pursuing a Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related fields.
Demonstrable, hands-on experience with ASIC CAD tools.
Experience testing chips in benchtop laboratory environments.
Willingness and an ability to obtain a DoD Secret.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
PCB design experience
Low power, energy optimized design
Sensor interface design, implementation, and testing AI/ML deployment on edge computing devices
Energy harvesting
RF communications in energy constrained devices

Pay Range:Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
